Construction Hiring Demand Report - Project Managers | Superintendents | Estimators

Demand is still strong across the board, especially on the electrical side and anything tied to data centers and large commercial work. Biggest difference maker right now is speed. The companies that move quickly on interviewing/hiring and stay in line with the market on comp are landing people. Everyone elseis missing.

Project Managers

Demand: High
Where: TX, FL, Southeast, Midwest
Focus: Data centers, healthcare, industrial

  • Most searches are for PMs who have run $10M–$100M+ jobs

  • Data center experience is still getting a premium

Compensation ranges:

  • $120K–$160K mid-level
  • $160K–$200K+ senior
  • $180K–$220K+ for traveling / data center

What’s holding deals up:

  • Candidates juggling multiple interviews and offers
  • Low offers
  • Slow feedback and lengthy interview process
  • Travel expectations not clearly defined upfront

Superintendents

Demand: Very High

  • $140K–$180K senior
  • $160K–$200K+ traveling + per diem

What we’re seeing:

  • Varying Per Diem and weekend home visits

What’s happening:

  • More candidates asking for flexibility
