Delta has been retained by a confidential construction subcontractor client to conduct a search for the position of Construction Estimator. Construction Estimator Compensation & Benefits:
Total compensation for the Electrical Estimator position is dependent upon experience, skill level, and a successful history of performance.

Construction Estimator Qualifications:
- Minimum of [8-10] years of progressive experience in construction estimating, preferably with a reputable general contractor or large subcontractor, with a proven track record of successfully bidding and winning diverse construction projects.
- Strong working knowledge of all major construction trades, means and methods, systems, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency with industry-standard estimating software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Timberline, Sage, Procore) and strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to accurately read and interpret complex architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
- Exceptional analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple bids concurrently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Construction Estimator Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire bid process from initial inquiry through final proposal submission for assigned construction projects.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits (virtual or in-person as required) to thoroughly understand project scope, conditions, and requirements.
- Perform comprehensive quantity take-offs from blueprints, architectural drawings, specifications, and other bid documents across all CSI divisions.
- Develop detailed material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
- Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate pricing from a wide range of material suppliers, equipment vendors, and subcontractors across all trades.
- Present estimates and proposals to internal teams and external clients, articulating the basis of the estimate.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Engineers, Architects, and other stakeholders during the estimating phase.
- Participate in project turnover meetings to ensure a smooth transition of awarded projects to the operations team, providing detailed explanations of job scope, assumptions, and potential areas of attention.
- Identify potential value engineering opportunities to provide cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality, functionality, or performance.
