Delta has been retained by a confidential electrical subcontractor client to conduct a search for the position of Electrical Estimator. Electrical Estimator Compensation & Benefits:
Total compensation for the Electrical Estimator position is dependent upon experience, skill level, and a successful history of performance.

Electrical Estimator Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience with an electrical contractor
- Strong working knowledge of electrical installation means and methods, systems, components, and industry best practices.
- In-depth understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency with industry-standard estimating software (e.g., Accubid, LiveCount, ConEst, McCormick) and strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to accurately read and interpret complex electrical blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
- Exceptional analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple bids concurrently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred but Not Necessary:
- Journeyman License or Degree
Electrical Estimator Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire bid process from initial inquiry through final proposal submission for assigned electrical projects.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits (virtual or in-person as required) to thoroughly understand project scope, conditions, and requirements.
- Perform comprehensive quantity take-offs from blueprints, electrical drawings, specifications, and other bid documents.
- Develop detailed material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
Identify and evaluate project risks and opportunities to ensure accurate and competitive pricing. - Present estimates and proposals to internal teams and external clients.
- Maintain and update internal cost databases and historical project data.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders during the estimating phase.
